Sunday
8:00 a.m. Holy Communion (A quiet service - no music)
9:40 am - Sunday School
10:00 a.m. Holy Communion (with hymns & choir music)
Our 10 a.m. services alternate between contemporary and traditional styles. Traditional services use liturgy from the Book of Common Prayer. Contemporary services use an alternate liturgy and include more music.
All who confess Jesus as Lord are welcome to receive communion
at St. Luke’s, regardless of their faith background.
The Episcopal Church has three appointed scripture readings for each worship service. We follow a 3-year cycle so that every three years we have the opportunity to hear, study and reflect on nearly the entire Bible.
Appointed Readings for Sunday, August 1, 2010
1st reading: Ecclesiastes 1:2; 12-14; 2: 18-23
Psalm 49: 1-11
2nd reading: Colossians 3: 1-11
Gospel: Luke 12: 13-21

The LORD is full of compassion and mercy, slow to anger and of great kindness. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so is his mercy great upon those who fear him.
